Volkswagen Kombi T2 sold new in mid-1971 (1972 model) and registered in Spain in June 1981. Unit with Porsche engine, manual gearbox and 29,741km on the odometer.

Unit in “Niagara Blue” colour (code L53D) with Pastel White roof (code L90D). This colour combination was available for the T2s manufactured in 1970 and 1971.

This model was manufactured in the second half of 1971, already as a 1972 model. It is therefore one of the first T2b, hence it already has the large rear optics and the square front indicators located at the top of the front, among other details typical of this 2nd phase of the T2.

The great attraction of this T2 is that it has a Porsche 911 2.0 engine from 1968. This adaptation was carried out in 2010 by a renowned Porsche specialist. Additionally, a 5-speed gearbox from a 911 was also adapted, as well as a set of calipers and discs on the front axle and drum shoes on the rear axle. The suspensions were fitted with Eibach springs and KYB shock absorbers, with the rear axle having a threaded body and adjustable in height. Finally, 15” Fuchs wheels with wider tyres, a tow bar and a Webasto heater were fitted. This long list of modifications and improvements are noted in the Spanish technical data sheet, so EVERYTHING IS APPROVED.

Its engine comes from a 911 2.0 from 1968 and is a 6-cylinder boxer engine that produces 130hp. It comes with Weber 40IDA carburettors and Permatune electronic ignition.

Inside, it has capacity for 7 people. The seats have been reupholstered with tartan-type fabric and the two front seats are Porsche 911 seats with integrated headrests.
